LG K10 Launched in India at Rs. 13,990 Release Date Specifications and More

LG Electronics has launched its new "Dhaakad" smartphone K10 2017 that features a special "panic button" as per the Government of India guidelines. Although the company was expected to unveil the entire K-series today, the South Korean giant has only launched the K10 as of now. The front camera also has the ability to take the shot automatically, it recognises the faces in the frame and takes the photo, LG calls this auto shot. Under the hood it has an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor with 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage with microSD support (up to 2TB).

The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the company's customisation on top.

The LG K10 2017 is priced at Rs. 13,990 available in Black, Gold and Silver color.

The display of the LG K10 (2017) will more or less stay the same with a resolution of 1,280 x 720. In the camera department, the front shooter is 5MP and has the 120 degrees angled wide lens.

"The panic button, 112, is a great initiative and we must applaud the efforts of LG Electronics who is developing technology for the betterment of the society", Union IT and Electronics Minister and chief guest Ravi Shankar Prasad told media at the launch event here.

The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner at the back - a feature afforded only to those willing to dish out upwards of R50,000 for a phone. Other devices that are part of the K series include K3 (2017), K4 (2017) and K8 (2017). It features a 5.3-inch HD display with a 2.5D glass on top.

On the rear of the LG K10 (2017), you will find a 13MP camera with an LED flash.

The dimensions of K10 are 148.7×75.3×7.9mm and it weighs 142 grams. It is backed by a 2,800mAh battery - with no fast charging - which is also removable. There are two SIM card slots on the inside of this smartphone (2 x nano SIM), and you're also getting 4G LTE connectivity here, with VoLTE. The phone also includes ambient light sensor, magnetometer (digital compass), accelerometer and a proximity sensor.

Moreover, the LG K10 2017 is "made in India by Indians for Indians", according to Gujral.
